GEOGRAPHY

Image
The study of places and the interactions between people and their environs is known as geography. Geographers study the surface of the Earth and the various human societies that live there. The ancient Greek scholar Eratosthenes is referred to be the "father of geography." He was the first to use the term "geography," and he also possessed a small-scale understanding of the planet, which enabled him to calculate the earth's diameter. Eratosthenes was a multi-talented individual. As the Greek philosopher and explorer Herodotus showed in the fifth century B.C, knowledge was amassed about such novel and exotic locales. That knowledge came to be known as geography, a term first used in the third century B.C. as the title of Eratosthenes of Cyrene's book Geographica. Type of waves

Waves are various types as following below in figure.

Waves type 👉👉👇

(A) Mechanical  WAVES

(1) Transverse  waves

                                    👇

(2) longitudinal waves

                                     ðŸ‘‡

(i) Standing waves or statutory wave's

                                       ðŸ‘‡

(ii) progressive or travelling waves

                                        👇

(B) Non mechanical waves (Electromagnetic wave)

                                          👇

(C) Matter waves

Now,I Will explain with detail.

Mechanical waves:

(I) Those waves which are not need to be require of medium propagation.

(II) Mechanical wave are not travelled  in vacuum.

(III) sound wave, waves on surface of water, waves in strings ,radio waves etc.

(On the basis of particle of vibration of medium )

(I) Transverse wave:

Wave in which vibration of particle of medium perpendicular to the direction of the propagation of waves.e.g

Light wave, wave on the surface of water etc.

(II) LONGITUDINAL WAVES

Waves in which the vibration  of the particle in medium which is parallel to the direction of propagation of waves.e.g sand waves, under the water on surface wave etc.

(On the basis of energy transfer)

(I) Standing waves:

Those wave are which don't transfer the energy.

(II) Progressive wave or travelling waves:

Those wave which that transfer to the energy.

(B) Electromagnetic wave or non mechanical waves:

Those wave which don't required to medium travel.e.g radio wave,uv wave,X rays ,gamma rays, infrared rays, beta rays etc.

(C)Matter waves

Those waves are the particle behave like as wave on matter. This type of waves is known as matter wave .e.g if my body is particle which behave body on particle is matter waves.
